Harry Potter Studio tour gets Professor Sprout’s greenhouse with magical plants
Fans of the Wizarding World are set to be blown away by a brand new attraction that’s opening within the Harry Potter Studio Tour in 2022.
Anyone obsessed with herbology, or who wanted to explore the teaching spaces at Hogwarts, should head straight to buy a ticket as Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse is being added to the venue.
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter is already home to sets like Hogwarts’ Great Hall where robes and floating candles amaze we mere muggles.
Plus, the Gryffindor Common Room – scene of many a nostalgic moment in the films – and the Burrow – where the Weasleys head home for summer – are a part of the magical adventure.
Now, guests can step through the doors of the glass greenhouse and try to spot magical plants like the Venomous Tentacula and Mandrakes which were featured in the films.
You’ll learn all about how the enchanting flora was brought to life for the Harry Potter movies from the staff members.
And, there’s no need to worry that you’ll miss the show as the greenhouse is to be a permanent addition to the Studios Tour and it opens part of an exciting new feature on Mandrakes and Magical Creatures.
The special event, which begins on July 1 2022 allows muggles to encounter Cornish Pixies, the Monster Book of Monsters, and even Dumbledore's beloved Fawkes, as well as extra features including the Great Hall's Frog Choir scene from the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the costumes of Professor Flitwick.
Plus, keen fans can even observe the Creatures Workshop which shows the behind-the-scenes secrets (we mean, spells, of course)that were used to bring animals like Thestrals to life – from scale models to impressive CGI.
The Mandrakes and Magical Creatures feature will run from July 1 – September 12, 2022, but it's not the only exciting offering for fans of the Wizarding World.
In fact, the Studios Tour has a whole host of special events lined-up for 2022.
Entry tickets to the studio tour cost from £49.95 per person and you can book on wbstudiotour.co.uk.
There are discounts for groups with 10 to 24 visitors costing £47.95 per individual ticket – and groups over 25 should call the services team.
