‘Hidden little gem’ in England named one of the best beaches this summer
Experts at the Beach Guide named the “best and most beautiful” beaches in the UK and the top-rated beach this year is located in England.
According to the study, West Wittering Beach, in West Sussex, is a stunning sandy beach within a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
With hundreds of coloured beach huts, miles of white sand and easy access, West Wittering is one of the best options for beachgoers this summer.
Although it can get pretty busy on the weekends, “it does not feel crowded” and the long sandy beach is ideal for families with children allowing them to enjoy a marvellous day by the sea.
Britons may have to book in advance to access West Wittering this summer and they should expect around £10 for parking charges.
On Tripadvisor, hundreds of visitors shared their thoughts with Amanda describing the beach as a “beautiful” spot.
”Beautiful beach, first time with our labrador who loved it! Plenty of places to eat. Gets busy and you have to pay for the car park in advance,” she explained.
Another one commented: “Awesome time for our first visit to West Wittering, we had pressure from the kids to find a sandy beach as nice as Camber Sands for them, that was in our driving/hours range and we found West Wittering.
“Not expecting such a nice beach, great vibes throughout the day, just lovely,” they added.

Tripadvisor user Dawn, who recently visited the beach, explained that West Wittering is the “perfect beach to wander along when the tide is out and pebbles to walk along when the tide is in”.
A “gorgeous pebble beach and lovely sand when the tide is out,” she added. Another one described it as a “little paradise beach” and “one of those hidden little gems that’s ideal for families with young children, clean, safe, well guarded and smashing outlets for food and drink”.
Another user who visited the beach last summer said that it is a “beach-lover’s paradise”, and “absolutely stunning and so clean”.
