Overseas travel may see a boom this autumn with prices to a range of popular destinations revealed to be cheaper than pre-pandemic. Spain was found to be 38 percent cheaper than pre-Covid.
And Croatia, Portugal and Greece also offered some bargains.
Emma Coulthurst from TravelSupermarket said: “The Spanish Costas are the place to go if you want to get a low-priced end of summer season break.
“You won’t get the strong heat of the summer but you can still get 11 hours of sunshine and highs of 22 degrees celsius.”
She continued: “It also pays to consider some less obvious destinations if you want to save money.

“Few people search for holidays to the likes of the Costa de Almeria or Valencia on the Costa del Alhazar, for example, but they are missing out on a treat.”
Taking the number one spot of the best value beach destination was Costa Dorada.
Salou and its sandy beaches is a popular resort destination for Britons.
In second place was Costa Brava.
Britons can head to resort towns such as Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Palamós or Tamariu for the some autumn sun.
Third came Costa de Almeria, with resort towns like Aguadulce, Mojacar Pueblo, Roquetas de Mar and Vera.
While Spain offered some of the best value, it was not the only country to make the list.
Other popular destinations such as Greece, Portugal and Croatia were also cheaper this year.
Britons are embracing last-minute bookings and while they booked two to six months in advance before the pandemic, the timeframe has now been reduced to within a month of booking.
Emma said: “People are looking and booking according to traffic light changes. If the red list is reduced significantly and the amber and green lists removed, then people are likely to feel more confident about booking a bit further out.”
The most popular destinations being booked include Tenerife, Rhodes, Dubai, Crete, Madeira, Malta, Majorca, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Cyprus.
