‘I caught boyfriend cheating mid-holiday – he didn’t realise he was on camera’
A holidaymaker has revealed how she discovered her boyfriend was cheating on her while on a cruise – by catching him flirting with other women on the ship’s live cameras. She took to social media to explain the horrible betrayal.
Kayla, who has over 500k followers on TikTok, @Kayla.g21, explained that her pal decided to look out over the cruise ship’s deck using their live cameras. The CCTV-style cameras are affixed to various parts of the ship and let those in their cabins check out what’s happening elsewhere on board.
Live cameras are a great way to check whether the partying has started or if there are free spaces by the poolside. Plus, it seems they’re a handy too for keeping track of your partner while on-board.

Kayla said it was the best way to "catch a cheater on a cruise ship". Kayla added: "The most gut-wrenching, heart-racing moment in life is when you go on a cruise and your man says he's hungry, he's gonna go get some food. So you stay behind the cabin to get ready with your friend. And she's flipping through the TV when she comes to the channel that showing you what's happening live on each deck of the ship.
"And she notices your man not getting food, but getting another woman's number, flirting with her, putting his arm around her. And your friend recorded the whole thing for receipts, because how can you confront a man without receipts? He'll just deny the whole thing. So you get to relive that moment over and over because you can't help but to watch a million times and pray for a different outcome."
In case anyone denied Kayla’s story, the unfortunate cruise passenger also uploaded her evidence. She showed herself standing and watching the live cameras in her cabin. On the television the pool and bar area was shown.
Kayla and her friend discussed whether the man on screen was, in fact, her boyfriend, with Kayla saying "who is she" and "it looks just like him". The young woman added that she was "stressed" – and then exclaimed "oh my God" as a man and a woman came onto the screen.
They were leaning on a balcony and chatting in their swimwear. They screamed as the man put his arm around the woman’s shoulder.
In the comments, people were invested in the dramatic relationship breakup. One person suggested: "Wait until you get back to break it off so he doesn’t race you home and steal and destroy your s**t. That’s break ups 101."
Another said: "You have to admit it’s suspicious as F – especially if she doesn’t know the girl." While another added: "People go on cruises a lot for swings and flings, not to mention they have single gatherings often, so he may had dropped by one."
A bloke wrote: "Something similar happened to a cousin of mine a few years ago. She is not doing well right now." While another woman said: "Oh girl…I don’t know whether or not to congratulate you both on being a genius or apologise."
Another noted: "The universe was on your side because what are the odds you even found him on the live feeds with all those people." So, I guess always take a look at the live feed while on a cruise!
