‘I fell for waiter in Menorca – he hardly spoke English but he’s the one’

What with it being Valentine's Day, we've decided to bring you a real-life holiday romance story to warm your cockles.

Travel agency eShores brought us the romantic tale of Tracey Barbero and her husband Antonio.

Language barriers didn’t get in the way when Tracy, 55, from Cheshire, met waiter Antonio in Menorca.

"He hardly spoke any English and I didn't speak Spanish, but we connected," said Tracey.

"We had a wonderful week together – a true holiday romance!

"When we said goodbye, I was heartbroken I’d never see him again."

Not wanting the romance to end, Tracy took a huge risk, returning to Menorca a couple of days later to confess her feelings – and it definitely paid off.

"When I arrived at the restaurant he immediately rushed over and hugged me," she said.

"We had another amazing week together.

"When I returned to the UK, we stayed in contact and he planned a visit.

"He arrived on November 2nd 2001 and has never left!"

The pair married three years later and are still together to this day.

"It just shows, taking chances does work sometimes," says Tracey.

Tracey's views are rather different from OnlyFans model Nova Jewels who spoke to Daily Star this week about romance.

The redhead says Valentine's Day is a 'load of nonsense' and says she's 'rather be spoiled by sugar daddies'.
