Over 100 cases of unruly passengers were reported by the Federal Aviation Administration last week alone, most of them related to the face mask policy.
A disruptive passenger confronted an American Airlines employee after she was denied boarding the plane for not wearing a face mask.
The tense moment was captured on video and shared on TikTok.
The unruly passenger wasn’t allowed to board a plane from Texas to Florida, as she refused to follow the airline’s face mask policy.
The customer started yelling and insulting the airport staff.

Another member of the crew had to intervene telling the passenger she should go find another airline.
“You can find another airline to fly, I’d suggest (taking) Spirit (airlines),” the American Airlines employee said.
Spirit airlines is best known to be an ultra-low-cost carrier, one of the most affordable in the United States.
The member of the staff told the passenger her comments were “totally uncalled for and totally inappropriate.
“We don’t tolerate that crap.”
After that, the woman tried to deny what she said without realising she was being filmed.
”Don’t lie.
“You already did that once, when you took your mask off and put it in your pocket,” said the crew member.
“If you don’t follow procedure, it’s end of discussion.”
In a statement, American Airlines said the customer “was not allowed to travel after failing to comply with the federal mask mandate and addressing one of our team members using profane language.”
This comes after another passenger ended up in prison last week after she refused to wear a mask.
A woman was arrested after spitting on several passengers and refusing to wear a mask on board a Delta Airlines plane in Florida.
The incident was also filmed and shared on social media.
“They are not respecting my human rights,” shouted the woman as she was being arrested.
The passenger will now have to pay a fine of $65,000 (£47,000).
This month, there have been more than 2,600 mask-related incidents reported onboard planes.
