Sometimes all you want in life is a little bit of luxury and one spa in England offers just that.

The Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa is home to a unique spa experience in the heart of the Lake District designed to help you unwind.

Nestled within the beautiful Borrowdale valley, the hotel and spa are surrounded by jaw-dropping views of the mountains, a picturesque lake and ancient woodland.

The pièce de résistance though is the iconic Lodore Falls rushing through the award-winning gardens.

Home to 22 spa suites, a Champagne bar and a 16-metre outdoor infinity-edge hydrotherapy pool overlooking the lake and fells, the hotel has been designed for ultimate relaxation.

Of course, the luxury doesn’t end there, as inside the spa there are five different treatment rooms with a four-person rasul chamber, a thermal suite, an aroma steam room and a herbal sauna.

The rasul chamber has been designed to help soothe the mind, boost circulation and ease muscle tension.

Spa hosts will guide you through this self-application four-step restorative ritual, which includes a black soap cleanse, exfoliation, rasul lava clay and the application of nourishing shea butter oils.

This restorative ancient Arabic ritual fuses the power of mineral-rich mud with heat and steam to treat the hair, face and body.

The spa also has a salt steam room, an ice fountain and heated relaxation loungers.

To really complete the experience, you can take a seat in the glass-fronted Finnish sauna before alternating between invigorating cold-drench buckets with hot showers on the open-air poolside terrace.

Guests can also book to stay overnight at one of The Falls Spa’s luxury bedroom suites. Most boast extensive balconies and have breathtaking views of the mountains and lake.

They feature a minibar, integrated double wardrobes, a flatscreen TV, a lounging area and direct access to the spa via an internal lift.

The gym offers a selection of Life Fitness cardio and weight machines plus free weights are available for hotel residents to use during their stay.

If you're worried about getting hungry, just sitting across the bridge where the Lodore Falls waterfall flows is the exotic pan-Asian restaurant Mizu.

Definitely one to add to the bucket list!
