Lad proposes to girlfriend mid-flight proving ‘love is literally in the air’

A lad proposed to his girlfriend midway through a flight – proving love was "literally in the air".

In the clip, passengers in the crowded cabin were seen peering over the seats to catch a glimpse of the man who was down on one knee at the front of the plane.

His girlfriend had gone to the toilet when he took out the ring and got down next to the door to pop the question.

The bloke was seen giggling at the camera as he nervously waited for her to come back out.

When she did her jaw dropped as the crowd cheered on for the pair, with a few people holding up pieces of paper with the words "will you marry me" written on them.

Thankfully, the woman said "yes" – otherwise, it would have made for one awkward flight.

In the caption of the video, which has gained more than 247,000 likes since being posted by @mzzgina13, the TikTok user said: "You're on a flight and this happens. Love is literally in the air."

TikTok users have since taken to the comments to offer their congratulations to the happy couple and give their thoughts on the proposal.

One user said: "It’s the entire flight’s participation that touched me."

Another added: "Awww, you can see how much he loves her."

A third wrote: "Now if she said no that ride back would’ve been stressful."

"I’m loving how the passengers were in on it," a fourth commented.
