The Quirky Quarter is currently listed as the third best thing to do in the city out of 707 other places and activities to try out. Home to a medley of interactive experiences, each section at this underground destination is filled with puzzling challenges and oddball opportunities fun for all ages.

Filled with oddball opportunities, visitors can expect upside down rooms, mirror mazes and 3D and optical illusions.

It is a unique, brain-stimulating workout for all ages, offering a way to socially connect in a time of physical distancing lasting up to two hours.

Less than a ten-minute walk from the Liverpool Central Train Station, the tourist attraction is based near the Chinese Arch at the top of Duke Street.

Make sure the camera on your phone is ready to take some eye-catching shots making this a memorable day out for everyone from friends and families to a fun-filled date night.

Paul Rose, a spokesperson for the Quirky Quarter teased: “Being such a new business and opening just six weeks before the first lockdown we needed to establish ourselves first.

“Having said that, we have lots of new ideas that we can’t wait to introduce. The space was designed to be able to refresh a zone without much disruption to the overall experience.”

It is the first of its kind for the city and brings a completely new and fresh concept to Liverpool.

One TripAdvisor user said: “We happened to be walking along Duke Street and noticed the eye-catching window display. We couldn’t simply walk past, so popped in and so glad we did.

“About an hour later we came out with big smiles from all the unexpected and hidden gems inside – really makes your brain work and look at things in a different light.”

Another added: “Interactive experience, with lots to do. No clues, it is not all that it seems either, there is lots of space and ample time to use the activities.

“It took us about an hour and a half to get around. Great for people with disabilities as there are no stairs to negotiate. All on one floor and it is huge.”

The Quirky Quarter is aimed at all ages, wheelchair friendly and opened Tuesday to Sunday from 11am – 8pm, with last entry at 7pm.
