London Eye to transform into giant sky-high spinning pub for Christmas

Christmas is right around the corner and after last year was, let’s face it, a bit of a disaster we’re all on the hunt for something festive to do.

And, luckily for those of us willing to travel to London there’s a cool new attraction coming to town.

It’s the perfect event to kick off your Christmas celebrations – especially if you’re looking for one of the best views in London!

The lastminute.com London Eye has announced its new Christmas Pub Pod.

Created in partnership with Absolut Vodka, the immersive experience will offer guests tasty tipples on tap while soaring 135m above the London skyline.

Launching from November 11 the Christmas Pub Pod will see one of the iconic South Bank attraction’s 32 pods given a glittering makeover, transforming it into a fully functioning pub complete with cocktail bar, Christmas cracker decorations and a festive frosting of snow.

We can’t think of anything more magical than that to be honest.

Absolut has even created two signature vodka cocktails – the Gingerbread Espresso Martini and Cinnamon Passion Fruit Martini – exclusively for the London Eye experience.

Both cocktails are inspired by original recipes created in London’s Soho, visible from the wheel.

And, frankly, we’re addicted to espresso martinis so adding cinnamon just makes us desperate to try it!

Guests will enjoy a bespoke Absolut Christmas cocktail along with a selection of craft beers and wines, whilst taking in sparkling 360 degree views of the capital lit up for the holidays.
