BrewDog opened its first DogHouse in Manchester this summer, and after the popularity of the hotel cemented the fact Britons loved craft beers, they have now opened another one in Edinburgh. The popular Scottish independent brewers have taken their brand immersion offerings to the next level, and on top of their 100 bars around the world, now have three DogHouses, one in the US and two in the UK.

Head of Marketing at BrewDog, Sarah said: “Craft beer hotels are not just for craft beers’ lovers. There is something for everyone. You can learn about beer, or you can enjoy a gin and tonic or cocktail.”

However, BrewDog DogHouses will probably be best for beer lovers.

On Tripadvisor, Eggchaser wrote: “Shower beer! What more do you want really? A turntable and guitar? Check and check! How about a 24/7 sweetie station? Check again!”

In Edinburgh, there are 20 craft beer-themed rooms.

Each one comes with an in-shower beer fridge, draught beer tap and fully loaded mini bar.

The Top Dog package even includes a beer school experience, ensuring guests have a fully immersive experience.

The dog theme is an important one for BrewDog, and it showed throughout the hotels.

A free Pup Package is available on request for four-legged guests, with a luxury dog bed, water and food bowl and even dog snacks all provided.

Human guests will appreciate the 24 hours hot dog service.

Sarah even mentioned a couple who “ordered a total of 11 hot dogs via Whatsapp during their stay”.

She explained: “We offer 24 hours hot dogs, and staff have reported back on the crazy hours our customers are asking for hot dogs. The uptake on them is surprisingly successful. Customers want hot dogs all hours of the day.”

Holidaymakers who stay at the DogHouses are promised a fantastic beer experience.

Sarah said: “A typical guest will arrive and get a welcome drink, any of our drink on tap.

“All of our bar crew are certified beer servers, so they can find out what kind of beer you like and what kind of beer we can offer.

“The rooms are all very unique, we have neons, the doghouse newsletter, guitars, vinyls with artists from the local area and things like that.”

She continued: “Doghouse Edinburgh has two bars, a terrace, an atrium, which is a lounge where you can work and also relax.

“And you can add on experiences to your stay.

“Beer school is a popular experience, where you can learn all about the beers that we offer.

“We also have a library in the atrium with books about Brewdog and beer.”

The BrewDog DogHouses may be the perfect stays for beer lovers in Manchester and Edinburgh, but they also offer a chance to experience craft beer to non-guests.
