Passenger labelled a ‘genius’ after bringing airbed to airport for naps
Delays and cancelled flights are a nightmare when you’re waiting to go on holiday.
One of the worst parts of such disruptions is when they happen late at night or when you’ve just landed from a long-haul flight for a connection.
Sometimes passengers end up spending hours in the airport – even in the small hours.

When this does happen lots of us choose to try and have a nap by the boarding gate.
It can be risky, but the flight crew will likely wake you up if you’re meant to be on the plane (though this is never guaranteed so set an alarm).
Despite wanting to sleep, it can be very hard to catch 40 winks lying on hard chairs, sitting up or even kipping on the ground.
However, one traveller has shown off what is possible when you’re well prepared and creative, according to the Mirror.
A photo of the holidaymaker was shared on Facebook – in the “I heart Cabin Crew” page – showing someone sleeping on a fully inflated air bed at the gate.
The poster said: "This person is living the dream".
In the snap the person could be seen lying on the single bed sized piece of kit wrapped in a blue blanket, and even had slippers off to the side of their portable bed.
Thousands of people liked the funny snap and plenty commented on it too.
One person called it “genius” while others claimed it was “selfish” as the passenger had blocked off seats other people could use.
We’re not sure you’d get away with this trick at every UK airport though.
Stansted actually has a ban on sleeping that’s been in place since 2018.
Anti-snooze guards have been seen prodding dozing holiday makers to prevent them from napping, reports CambridgeshireLive.
The 'sleep police' are on patrol every 10 minutes and warning signs have also been put up telling passengers: "Please do not lay down on the seats."
