Passengers horrified as man goes barefoot on flight to flaunt six toes
A holidaymaker has left social media users disgusted by his behaviour after he was seen committing the ultimate flight faux pas – going barefoot on a flight.
Most passengers will obey the unofficial rules of flying etiquette – like not reclining at meals and leaving smelly food at home. However, as with all things, there are some outliers who make the rest of the cabin miserable.
Taking your shoes off is one of the more common flying faux-pas. It’s not advisable as flight attendants have revealed that plane floors are not very clean.

On top of that, going to the lavatory bare foot is even more of a no-no as that’s not water on the floor! It’s other people’s urine.
But, one holidaymaker didn’t seem to care as he tore off his socks and showed off his bare feet on a recent flight. Posting a video on TikTok, @reverseosmosis369, a fellow tourists filmed as the man flaunted his bare footedness.
At first, he seems like a rude traveller getting his dogs out for other passengers to turn their noses up at. However, some commenters also noticed that he actually has six toes…
The bloke appears to have a double little toe – a second pinky sat below the usual one. The video racked up over 8million views and thousands of comments shared their bafflement.
The videographer showed the man’s foot before zooming in on his extra toe and then panning over to the window as the flight took off. Many comments joked about the man's foot while others just exclaimed at the lack of politeness.
One person said: "Imagine if that was your foot and you suddenly saw it on TikTok." Another added: "Ok to be fair, its probably so uncomfortable to wear shoes but man… bring some slippers or something. NO ONE should be dogs out on a plane."
A third wrote: "Why’s he letting it air out like that." While another said: "Taking off your shoes AND socks is crazy."
A flight attendant explained why it's not advisable to go barefoot on a plane. She said: "Sometimes people remove their shoes to walk around the plane but do not step sock-footed and even barefoot, into an aeroplane bathroom!
"Due to the high chance of unbalance and people missing the toilet bowl, there could be urine on the floor. Imagine if you carried this from your sock, into your shoe and back into your home – that would be incredibly unhygienic!"
While pilot Patrick Smith added: "Cabins are cleaned prior to every flight, but that will be more perfunctory on a quick turn when there are only 15 or 20 minutes to get it done. "An important part of the airline industry is turnover.
"This sometimes means that a full, deep clean of the aeroplane loo isn’t always possible due to lack of time and higher priorities."
