In the age of Instagram, people will do just about anything to get that perfect snap.

From angles to location there are many things to consider to get a glam pic to put on your feed.

However, this one Twitter user was left stunned after finding a hoard of glam women posing in a hotel that was once a prison.

Twitter user @touchingcheeses shared their discovery on the social media site and captioned the post: “Found a prison that has been converted into an influencer hotel.”

The hotel in question is the Malmaison Oxford Prison Hotel which was converted to a luxury place of stay after the prison closed down in 1996.

Once a place of punishment, the corridors are now a spot for gallivanting influencers in glam dresses.

The Twitter user attached some screenshots from Instagram of women posing in the ‘boutique’ hotel.

The lovely ladies looked like they are about to hit the town rather than spend the night behind bars.

One of the captions of the glam women read: “Prisoner for the night.”

Another stunning woman captioned her post: "Most beautiful prison to get locked up in.”

And a third posed with a cocktail and added: “Could get used to prison life.”

However, a lot of people did not see the quirky side to the prison conversion – so took to the comments to air their opinions.

One person commented: “Wow I saw this on ig and assumed it was a museum”

Another user joked: “Locks still work??”

Whilst a third said: “That's… extremely tasteless.”

Someone else added: “This is the worst thing I have ever seen.”

A prison does sound a bit spooky, maybe we will stick to a Travelodge for now…

Let us know in the comments if you would stay in the prison hotel!
