See Your City, one of the UK’s leading tour operator, is taking bookings for a cheese crawl where for two hours, guests can taste the best dairy in south west England.

Fans of the smelly stuff will be invited to nibble their way through the local award-winning cheese, from gooey camembert to very mature cheddar.

Starting in Clifton Village, experts will guide you down the picturesque harbourside, before testing your knowledge with interactive competitions and quizzes.

You will also learn all about cheese making and will be introduced to some cheese mongers and shops.

To make you feel like a long-term resident, each cheese you try will be paired with a perfectly-matched cider to bring out your inner food critic.

A statement on The Bristol Cheese Crawl reads: “Calling all curd nerds and turophiles – yep there’s a word for your love of cheese – Bristol’s finest cheeses are being wrapped up into one two hour walking tour! Get involved in Bristol’s first and grate-est cheese crawl!

“There will be a cheese whizz quiz and of course a little bit of fizz. The crawl will be packed full of the finest of Bristol’s brie-liant cheeses, with very mature fun facts, and the chance to heckle your quizmaster with your favourite cheese puns that will have your group crumbling faster than a wensleydale.

“It’s a whole different kind of ‘cultured’.”

If you complete this alternative crawl in Bristol, See Your City also has other cheese crawls for you to eat around the country.

The immersive tour company has walkabouts set up in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and Liverpool.

The Bristol Cheese Crawl costs just £25, to book your tickets, click here.
