Shoppers are 'obsessed' with $18 Kmart travel buy

Travellers are ‘obsessed’ with $18 Kmart travel pillow despite ‘awkward’ design

  • Shoppers are obsessed with an $18 inflatable travel pillow from Kmart
  • Thousands claim it was ‘perfect’ to sleep on during long flights

Travellers are flocking to Kmart to get their hands on a ‘game-changing’ item that is sure to solve the biggest problem caused by a long journey.

The Inflatable Front Travel Pillow ($18.00) is the ‘ultimate’ answer to a traveller’s nighttime woes – the perfect companion when getting a wink of sleep is ‘practically impossible’ on a flight or train.

Shoppers were originally weary of its design when Kmart launched a slew of travel accessories earlier in the year, but the ‘awkward’ inflatable pillow has quickly become a fan-favourite.

Lala Tuiga, from Queensland, recently used the pillow on a flight with her eight-year-old son and mother, and revealed that it was ‘extremely comfortable’ for both children and adults.

The unique design allows users to lean their head comfortably on the pillow while seated upright.

The Kmart buy is 48cm in height and 30cm in width when inflated and can be folded into a small pouch.

‘It takes less than a minute to inflate and less than a minute to deflate,’ Lala Tuiga said in a clip.

‘It comes in a pouch and it fits in your bag nice and easy. I used it, my son used it, my mum used it at one stage of the flight and it’s very comfortable.’

Travellers simply need to inflate it, place it on their knees, and rest their hands through the gaps on its sides.

Many have given the $18 buy five-star reviews online.

‘It is awkward looking but really comfortable and perfect for long plane rides,’ a man said.

‘It’s light weight and folds flat,’ another wrote. ‘Used it for part of my flight and was able to sleep.’

‘This is especially great for a night flight,’ a third said.
