The Bahia Principle Fantasia Tenerife not only has multiple swimming pools but a Disney-style castle right in the centre of the all-inclusive resort. It’s the perfect place for a family holiday thanks to its exclusive shows, Kids’ Club and five heated pools, not to mention it also has a water park and splash pool for children as well as plenty of sports from a gym to outdoor games areas. For older children, there’s a teens club where youngsters can play pool, foosball or ping pong and dance to the DJ’s beats. Plus, you’ll enjoy incredible shows from "Papimber and the Garden of the Hesperides" to jaw-dropping carnival acts. But, what is the giant castle inside the resort for?

Well you can actually spend a night inside the Disney-style castle in the Castle Suite. At a cost of £301 a night there is one king size bed and three twin single beds meaning up to five people can stay in the special room. You’ll feel like Royalty when you wake up in your castle and walk out straight into the pool area.

Normal rooms inside the hotel are cheaper than the castle suite with prices from £115 a night – but you can pay extra for sea view or swim up rooms. The resort is all-inclusive so you’ll have access to the theatre, pools, water park, solarium, a bell boy, 24 hour snack service, ironing facilities, the minibar, free Wi-Fi, the pools and all restaurants.

You can enjoy up to three a-la-carte dinners per week in the speciality restaurants. These include a steakhouse, Italian restaurant and Japanese restaurant. There are also two bars, the 'Dreams Factory' pool restaurant and the main buffet. Services that cost extra include the hairdressers, spa, laundry service, special Chef’s sides, the Bali beds by the pool and the car park.

There’s plenty to do near the hotel too, including Siam Park which is often hailed as the best waterpark in the world. For those wanting to do some exploring, you can take a ferry and tour San Sebastián de la Gomera where you’ll discover Garajonay National Park and the picturesque villages.

Over on TripAdvisor, people raved about the magical hotel. One woman said: "Let’s start off with the positives the entertainment at this hotel is brilliant, the shows are excellent and the entertainment is the best I’ve experienced and we are well travelled and have stayed at a number of 5 star luxury hotels.

"There is a light show each evening on the castle which adds a touch of magic for little ones and the shows we saw Toy Circus 2 and IMOX were excellent. The staff at the hotel are polite and helpful and extremely well mannered which is always a plus good staff make a huge difference."

While Neal, from Darlington, said: "We've just returned from a week at the Bahia Principe Fantasia in Tenerife as a family of two adults and two children, aged 7 and 5. This has been a brilliant family holiday, the hotel has some amazing features, is of a very high quality and runs to very high standards.

"The pretend Disney Princess Castle is obviously a big feature of this resort. Before I went, I thought this was a bit cheesy but it’s actually really impressive, the building itself is huge and is some achievement. There is a daytime bar in there which we used frequently. The evening light show on the castle with the music is very impressive, plus it’s used here and there for evening events, such as the mini disco and some other kids shows. "
