The UK may be wet, but it’s not even close to the wettest country on earth. In fact, despite what many people around the world would like to believe, the UK is not even the wettest country in Europe.

A new study by Budget Direct analysed Climate Data to find out where the most rain falls.

The wettest place in the world is Buenaventura, in Colombia.

Colombia also has the dubious honour of claiming the second wettest spot in the world, with Manizales.

Most of the wettest places in the world are in Latin America, with Indonesia and Cameroon sneaking in at number nine and 10.
