Tourists floored by UK beach ‘like Hawaii’ with waterfalls and white sands
The UK has plenty of beautiful beaches – but for some reason they’re not as well known as those in Spain and Italy. With the sun shining over the last few weeks lots of us will be heading to the coast to enjoy our own sun, sand and sea.
There are certain coves and bays in our nation compared to the most stunning islands in the world. One of the most beautiful British beaches has recently been dubbed a "mini Hawaii" – perfect for a staycation.
For those looking for a secluded beach that boasts equally beautiful scenery, Woody Bay, in Devon, could be the perfect spot for you, reports Bristol Live. It has breathtaking waterfalls and even a Victorian bath pool.

You can access the beach through a woodland path before heading down to the white sand and rocky shore. It’s surrounded by cliffs that are covered in greenery and the water is clear on sunny days.
You can reach the end of the bath down to the beach from a small car park, but there are no facilities like cafes or lifeguards. So make sure you’re a strong swimmer and have all the water and food you need. You can also visit on the steam train.
Sharing a video of the beach on Instagram, CJexplores said: "Isn’t it magical!? Located in North Devon, on Exmoor NP’s coastline. There’s a small car park near a path that leads to the beach.
"The path zig-zags down through woodland & is fairly steep! (Approx. 20 mins down/ 30 mins uphill). Please leave no trash.”
Thousands of people liked the post and dozens commented. One person said: "Wow! Looks like Hawaii”.
Another added: "Can’t believe this is England!" While a third noted: "I would have never expected this in the UK! So beautiful."
The beach is also well rated on TripAdvisor. One person wrote: "A beautiful little bay nestled amongst ancient twisted oak trees. A stunning walk down from the top carpark is well worth the effort and an excellent opportunity to improve your fitness on the way back up! The pictures sum it up….. tranquil, serene and an amazing location."
Another penned: "Amazing place to visit, a long walk down and certainly back up but well worth it. Take a picnic and relax on the beach. Check out the waterfall, it's stunning.
"Do your research on the place before you go and then when there hunt for the parts the history mention. Fabulous little gem"
Woody Bay isn’t the first UK beach to make waves in recent weeks. In a video that got hundreds of views on TikTok, @ventureuk called another beach the "most insane beach in the UK".
It showed off the waterfall, "huge cave", white sands and blue water of Nanjizal Beach in Cornwall.
Meanwhile, nudist beach in the UK has been compared to the Caribbean thanks to its soft sands, crystal-clear waters and gorgeous surrounding scenery.
