UK’s best lifeguard-manned beaches to visit during the heatwave
The weather across the UK is heating up with parts of South East England reaching a whopping 30 degrees Celsius today and 34 later in the week.
And, while London and the Home Counties are facing the brunt of the heatwave the weather is sunny and warm ad far as the Highlands.
Brits living in coastal regions will no doubt be heading to be beach after work and at the weekend.
But, while there are plenty of stunning beaches and ports around the nation – which are the nicest?
According to Millets, the best beaches to visit during the heatwave are also some of the safest.
It’s always advisable to swim and sunbathe at a beach that has lifeguards – they might save your life if you get pulled out by a rip tide and they can help with emergencies on the sand too.
RNLI lifeguards have rescued over 320,000 people in two decades of patrolling beaches, and so the RNLI encourages families to visit Lifeguard Beached where possible.

Summerleaze Beach, Cornwall
One of the UK’s hidden treasures lies within Cornwall, gorgeous blue waters and views of the harbour can be found at Summerleaze Beach!
Make yourself at home in one of the colourful beach huts that stretch along the coastline, or bathe in the sea-water bathing pools to keep cool.
Whitesands Beach, Wales
For water lovers, Whitesands Beach in Wales is the place to be this weekend!
From making waves for surfers, to calmer areas of the sea for snorkelling, the list of aqua-mazing options for underwater activities here is endless!
Saltburn Beach, Yorkshire
Home to one of only four jet-skiing beaches in Yorkshire, Saltburn Beach is the local playground for big kids!
While the young ones play in the sand, you can rent a jet-ski and chase the waves out into the sea.
St Bees Beach, Cumbria
St Bees Beach, located in Cumbria is the perfect mix of sand and pebble shores.
Not only is the beach dog-friendly, it has something for everyone with access to a miniature zip wire and climbing net, while the beach itself backs onto St Bees Golf Club.
West Kirkby Beach, Liverpool

Scarborough North Bay Beach, Yorkshire
