Virgin Voyages’ second cruise ship to sail Europe with rockstar rooms & club

In 2020 Virgin Voyages launched its first ever cruise ship the Scarlet Lady which made major waves in the travel industry through its new approach to cruising.

The boat caters to a fresher, livelier clientele with over 20 bars and restaurants, a club, theatre and interactive shows like a drag brunch and sex workshop.

The Scarlet Lady now operates from Miami, Florida, after spending some time touring around the UK due to the pandemic.

But, if you missed out on the Virgin Voyages British sailing, or don’t want to fly as far as the US, then you’re in luck.

A second cruise ship, Valiant Lady, will be launched this year with its MerMaiden voyage from Portsmouth – so you can travel without a single flight.

And, the state-of-the-art cruise ship will be making its home base Barcelona and sailing around a number of European routes over the next year so you can enjoy everything the Valiant Lady has to offer without worrying about travelling too far away.

With UK travel restrictions lifting, Virgin Voyages has seen a 70% increase in bookings since December meaning 2022 could be the year of the cruise!

Following the globally celebrated debut of her sister ship Scarlet Lady – which holds the most five-star reviews on TripAdvisor and the winner of Cruise Critic’s Best New Cruise Ship of 2021 –Valiant Lady features an impressive 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Quarters.

You read that right, the RockStar Quarters offer incredible luxurious suites with their own guitars and music rooms, a huge terrace, outdoor shower, hammocks and outdoor dining space. Plus, backstage access and extra service “fit for a rockstar”.

And, there will also be two iconic Massive Suites which boast their own turntables and private hot tub. Can you imagine anything more luxurious?

If you’re trying to keep costs a bit lower then there are still plenty of other options as 86% of the Valiant Lady cabins have a balcony and 93% have ocean views. All of the rooms will feature attractive, modern designed with lots of drawers and storage.

When you leave your room on the Valiant Lady there’s plenty to explore on-board from first-class entertainment, state of the art health and wellness facilities, and exquisite dining experiences curated by Michelin-starred chefs.

Fitness fanatics can use the running track that circles the top floor of the ship alongside the yoga studio, bike club, athletic club, sports area and training camp with boxing ring.

While those looking to let loose can sip cocktails in private Cabanas, at the rooftop bar or at the Gym & Tonic bar.

Plus, there are a number of restaurants and bars including Korean BBQ, a soju bar, market-style food hall, pizza restaurant, Mezzo-style eatery, cooking lab, Italian restaurant, steak & seafood house and more.

There’s also The Manor – an incredible on-board nightclub for letting your hair down in the early hours – and The Casino – a gaming lounge – plus barbers, hairstylists and a spa.

For the truly wild, there’s Squid Ink – an onboard tattoo studio. Could this ship be any more millennial?
