Use a luggage storage app when waiting for a flight
After her flight was delayed by eight hours at Myrtle Beach International Airport, TikToker Renata came across a luggage storage app called Bounce
If you’ve got a long wait for a connecting flight and have time to leave the airport, one of the biggest problems is what to do with your luggage.
However, TikToker Renata reveals in a clip how she stumbled across a cunning solution.
After her flight was delayed by eight hours at Myrtle Beach International Airport, she started searching for a place to stash her suitcase and she came across an app called Bounce.
She explains that the luggage storage company has a ‘bunch of participating vendors,’ so she was able to sign up to the app and pay to leave her bag at a local UPS store.
‘This is the coolest thing I’ve found in a while,’ she tells viewers.
Freeze liquids to get them through TSA
Flight attendant Brenda Orelus reveals how frozen water bottles will sail through the TSA security scanners no problem
While you cannot take bottles of water through airport security, dozens of clips on TikTok reveal a tried and tested hack for bypassing this rule.
Seasoned travelers show how frozen water bottles will sail through the TSA security scanners no problem.
Flight attendant Brenda Orelus demonstrates the trick in a video.
She explains to viewers: ‘Want to get your large liquids through TSA? Simple, freeze them. This will allow them to pass through the TSA check point as a solid.’
Some viewers pointed out that it would be difficult to get the frozen water to the airport without it melting en route.
And one viewer said they preferred taking an empty water bottle with a filter and filling it with water after clearing TSA checks.
Pack coconuts instead of water bottles
Paul Saladino shows viewers how he has a bagful of coconuts and he got them through TSA checks ‘no problem’
But it seems that one TikToker has a slightly more unusual way of getting liquids through airport security.
Paul Saladino reveals in a clip how instead of packing bottles of water for trips, he instead packs coconuts to keep hydrated.
He shows viewers how he took a bagful of coconuts through TSA checks ‘no problem.’
One viewer said the coconut hack didn’t work for them, and explained: ‘Bro, I tried bringing a coconut back from Florida one time and they stopped me like I had a bomb and took it.’
Other viewers quizzed Paul about how he goes about opening coconuts on the plane when you ‘can’t bring knives or bottle openers.’
He revealed that he travels with a metal straw and drinks through that, but didn’t elaborate further.
Make a phone holder from a sick bag
TikToker Maiifinds reveals an ingenious way to make a simple yet effective phone holder using a sick bag
To create the holder, the sick bag should be laid over a phone case and with the phone popped back in to secure it. The sick bag can then be hung from the back of the chair in front
Ever experienced hand ache from trying to watch a movie on your phone during a flight?
Well, in a bid to remedy that problem, TikToker Maiifinds reveals an ingenious way to make a simple yet effective phone holder using a sick bag.
In a step by step guide, she instructs viewers to first pop their phone out of the case.
Then, to create the holder, the next step involves laying the sick bag over the case and securing the phone back in.
You then should be able to hold up the sick bag with the phone securely dangling from the end. The sick bag can then be hung from the back of the chair in front by pinning it behind the food tray.
Maiifinds continues: ‘Then, all you do is close the food tray with your new set up and you are ready to watch whatever you want. This is the best hack. It’s so convenient and it’s free.’
Many viewers deemed the hack ‘brilliant’ and ‘cool,’ but some expressed concern around what would happen if you then fell sick and needed to use the bag.

She revealed that her hack worked but one passenger on the flight did call her out on her bulky pillow.
