All the countries in this article are currently not on the UK’s red list and prices are correct at the time of writing. As travel restrictions lift, holidays bookings have soared but there’s still plenty of options for bargain winter sun. 

Jamaica

The perfect destination for a winter sun break, temperatures in Jamaica average 32 degrees in November and December and chances of rainfall are low.

Booking with TUI, a week at the Rui Ocho Rios will set a guest back just £839 per person for flights from Birmingham and an all inclusive stay in November.

The Rui Ocho Rios has five swimming pools and is less than ten minutes away from Jamaica’s most famous waterfall, Dunn’s River Falls.

With five restaurants included in the all inclusive package, guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dinner time.

Tourists visiting Jamaica will need to take a PCR test on arrival and stay within their resort /planned activities during the holiday.

Dubai

With virtually zero chance of rain, Dubai is another fantastic destination for Brits wanting a warm winter break.

Temperatures in Dubai across November and December average at a balmy 24 degrees.

Booking with lastminute.com and flying from London in November, a week at the four star Jumeirah Rotana costs £943 per person for an all inclusive break.

Located just outside the centre of Dubai, Jumeirah Rotana is a short journey from Dubai’s main attractions.

With world class luxury shopping malls, stunning azure waters and gourmet dining options, there’s never a reason to be bored in Dubai.

UK travellers to Dubai will currently need a negative PCR test from the last 72 hours before departure.

Florida

Since the US announced it would lift restrictions against Brits in November, many tourists have been eager to get back to the States.

Across November and December, Florida temperatures usually average at a warm 22 degrees.

A week at the Crowne Plaza Orlando with flights from Manchester, bed and breakfast costs £833 per person with Thomas Cook.

Situated on Universal Boulevard, it’s just a short trip to Orlando’s many theme parks and attractions from the hotel.

The USA has yet to announce full travel guidelines for UK travellers but it is likely tourists will need to be double vaccinated and provide a negative PCR test.

Antigua

For those seeking soaring winter temperatures, Antigua offers highs of 30 degrees across November and December.

Flying from London in December, with lastminuteholidays.com a week at the adults only exclusive Ocean Point Resort and Spa costs just £909 per person for flights, room and breakfast.

Tourists visiting Antigua need to take a PCR up to four days before travel and unvaccinated guests will not be allowed outside their resort area.

St Lucia

For fans of a Caribbean break, St Lucia is another excellent winter sun island destination.

With average temperatures of 26 degrees, a week’s stay at the Bay Gardens Hotel, flying from London with British Airways Holidays is currently priced at £820 per person.

Guests will also have access to the luxurious Bay Gardens Beach resort and spa to unwind.

St Lucia requires unvaccinated visitors to quarantine while everyone must provide a negative PCR test taken five days fewer prior travel.

All UK tourists should check the Government website for the latest travel restrictions before going.
