World’s longest, tallest and fastest monorail rollercoaster to open this year

Adrenaline junkies will be clamouring to snag a seat on a brand new ride set to be the world's tallest, fastest and longest single-rail rollercoaster.

It will launch riders along a 3,000ft track with speeds up to 58mph and a maximum height of a whopping 130ft, reports the Mirror.

And, the coaster is set to open up later on in 2021 much to thrill-seekers delight.

The Jersey Devil rollercoaster will be installed at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey – so it’s a fair distance to travel for the ride of your life, but you can see the ride in a new point-of-view clip on Youtube here.

But, coaster-lovers who are in it for the fear factor won’t be able to resist the dizzying speeds and height of the new ride.

Oh, and that’s not where the heart-stopping moments end – the Jersey Devil also comes with an 87 degree drop followed by inversions, a zero gravity roll and dives.

The four train carriages carry 12 passengers in a single file row.

Riders will sit with their legs straddling either side of the monorail track.

It’ll get your heart pumping that’s for sure…

The ride is “inspired by infamous New Jersey mythology" and was meant to open last year.

Sadly, the coronavirus pandemic delayed this until 2021.

And while the theme park is set to re-open on March 27 Brits are not currently able to head across the pond.

Travelling abroad for a holiday is currently against Covid restrictions in the UK.

Plus, the US has closed its borders to anyone who has been within the UK within 14 days.

However, with Britain slowly re-opening in the coming months some of us will hopefully be able to get to New Jersey soon.
