There are huge windows that provide interesting views and the lights reflecting off the underside of the one of the first planes to break the sound barrier makes an impressive backdrop. It’s licensed until 1am so you can party the night away and it has a wedding licence so you can actually sign your papers.
On top of that, the space has its own events team, a bespoke AV package, free Wi-Fi and parking as well as a stage. Plus, there are plenty of hotels nearby and an airport and motorway access so your guests can easily attend.
The professional kitchen will happily serve up your wedding breakfast, canapés and evening snacks. It also offers Kosher and Halal dining options.
Over on Hire Space, the venue is described. It says: "The Hangar offers a unique opportunity to hold your event directly under the wings of the world world-famous Concorde. This, coupled with our exceptional hospitality, ensures your event will live long in the memory of your guests.
"Concorde G-BOAC, flagship of the British Airways fleet and aviation legend, takes pride of place inside the purpose-built super hangar. While you're on site, impress your guests with a trip on board and get a real taste of what it was like to fly faster than a bullet… and in the lap of luxury."
The Concorde Centre isn't the only British Airways hotspot where you can get married. A ceremony based at Barton Aerodrome in disused 747-400 aircraft is perfect for those with a connection to all things air travel.
The Deck 747 is a unique choice for couples wanting to tie the knot in an aircraft-themed ceremony. You can walk down the aisle in the venue’s private hangar before proceeding to the flight deck for the paperwork.
Plus, while you enjoy the Captain’s seat you can take plenty of memorable photos and even enjoy a Flight Simulator experience. Surrounded by the buttons and windows of the cockpit you’ll sit as pilot and co-captain as you make your marriage official.
Plenty of couples are bringing a love of travel into their relationships. Like one man who proposed to his now-fiancee while on a Ryanair flight. Lee – known as @ItsJustLeeHere online – asked his girlfriend Leah to be his wife in front of their loved ones.
Instead of waiting to get to his destination to get down on one knee, he did so mid-air. In a Twitter pose, he wrote: "Proposed to Leah on a Ryanair flight with her family there. Luckily she said 'yes'."
