A&K Travel Group hires chief marketing officer

A&K Travel Group, the company that owns tour operator Abercrombie & Kent and the revived Crystal Cruises, has hired its first chief marketing officer. 

Based in A&K’s head office in London, Peter Chipchase will oversee all marketing, communications and creative efforts for the luxury travel and lifestyle brand. 

Chipchase is a former fashion marketing specialist and luxury hospitality strategist. He had served as chief marketing officer for fashion designer brand Stella McCartney, where he oversaw the brand’s digital and physical campaigns as well as the launch of its skincare line.

Before his stint at Stella McCartney, Chipchase served as chief strategy and communications officer for high-end members-only brand Soho House for eight years, where he launched the brand’s social media channels, relaunched the website and opened new properties.

“Peter’s track record with leading high-end brands, international experience and excitement about our future makes him a perfect fit for us,” said Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group. “He is a proven leader with the vision to expand on the success built over the past 60 years and take us into our next phase of growth and innovation.”
