Auberge Resorts Collection has forged a strategic partnership with the Libra Group, owner of luxury boutique hotel group Grace Hotels.
Under the deal, Grace Hotels’ five U.S. and European locations will join the Auberge fold. These include Grace properties in Mykonos and Santorini, Greece; the Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington, Conn.; the White Barn Inn & Spa in Kennebunk, Maine; and the Vanderbilt Hotel in Newport, R.I. Each hotel will be branded under the Auberge Resorts Collection name and managed by the Auberge team, with that transition taking place over the next three months.
“We’re going to be looking at each property and looking at ways we can integrate them into the Auberge ethos, if you will, and add enhancements where we think we can create something special,” said Auberge Resorts Collection founder Mark Harmon. “We’re really excited about the process and we love having the opportunity to work in these spectacular locations and create even more magic.”
Also joining Auberge will be the Grace Hotels development pipeline, which includes projects in Athens, Kalamata, Kea and a second resort in Santorini, Greece; as well as hotels in Marrakech, Morocco; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and St. Moritz, Switzerland.
Auberge’s existing portfolio includes a dozen luxury properties located across the U.S., Mexico, Anguilla, Fiji, Costa Rica and Nicaragua, with new hotels slated to open in Florida, Utah, New Mexico and Hawaii before the end of next year. The Auberge Resorts Collection is part of the Friedkin Group.
