Cruise Planners is joining Signature Travel Network: Travel Weekly

Coral Springs, Fla.-based franchisor Cruise Planners will join the Signature Travel Network on Sept. 29 after 18 years with American Express’s Travel Representative program.

Earlier this year, American Express said it would end the representative program, opening up opportunities in the industry in terms of where its representative agencies, like Cruise Planners, would end up affiliating.

The program will officially shutter at the end of this year.

“This is welcome news, and we feel strongly that this is the right direction for our company,” Michelle Fee, CEO and co-founder of Cruise Planners, said in statement. “Signature’s programs are impressive, and we felt the essence of the pillars we hold ourselves to are reflected in their company, as well. There are many complementary programs that Signature offers that will elevate the Cruise Planners brand and give advisors an extra edge to propel their business.”

Cruise Planners, ranked No. 18 on the 2022 Travel Weekly Power List, specifically pointed to Signature’s technology, marketing and training programs, which it will use to supplement its own programs, but did note: “Cruise Planners stands on its own when it comes to technology.”
