CTM's 1000 Mile Travel Group plans U.S. expansion

1000 Mile Travel Group, a host agency initially designed for independent corporate travel advisors, is expanding into the U.S. following its July acquisition by Corporate Travel Management (CTM). CTM’s MTravel will be rebranded and integrated into 1000 MTG.

1000 MTG also said it was expanding its footprint in the U.K.

MTravel is CTM’s leisure host agency business in the U.S. Once it is integrated with 1000 MTG, the network will serve more than 750 independent contractors that sell leisure, corporate and group travel.

1000 MTG founders Ben Ross and Nicola Veltman have relocated to Denver for the integration and launch of the U.S. business. They launched 1000 MTG in 2015 after identifying the need for a host that serves corporate advisors. In the years since, 1000 MTG has evolved to incorporate leisure and group advisors.

“With the backing of a global travel business like CTM, our network of travel advisors — and their customers — enjoy the benefits of impressive global buying power, which means access to more travel content at the most competitive rates and commissions, as well as luxury hotel programs, and access to exclusive Virtuoso content and membership benefits,” Ross said in a release.

Ross also pointed to CTM’s scale and technology as benefits for MTG 1000 agents.
