De Blois named managing director of StudentUniverse

Steven de Blois has been named managing director of StudentUniverse, Flight Centre Travel Group’s online travel booking platform for students.

De Blois replaces Mike Cleary, who spent nearly 10 years at StudentUniverse, the last four as managing director.

De Blois was most recently managing director and head of product at Umapped, the Flight Centre-owned itinerary platform. He has also held posts at Air Canada in corporate strategy and e-commerce, as well as at Expedia, where he was the global director of product management.

In his new post, de Blois will be responsible for leading all aspects of StudentUniverse in the four countries where it operates: the U.S., Canada, Australia and the U.K.
