EF Go Ahead Tours expands in Africa: Travel Weekly
EF Go Ahead Tours has new destinations and departure dates in Africa ready to launch this summer as it continues to grow its portfolio of offerings on the continent.
The custom tour and group travel specialist is launching its new 12-day Tanzania Wildlife Safari Tour itinerary on July 4 for groups between six to 18 guests. The safari adventure will include visits to a number of national parks, including Serengeti and Tarangire National park, and will incorporate educational opportunities as well for guests to learn about local sustainability and conservation efforts.
Guests can expect up to eight game drives with expert local guides while touring reserve areas that are home to lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and Cape buffalo, among other Big Game wildlife. A three-night post-tour extension trip to Zanzibar is also available to add onto the itinerary.
Ghana is also a new destination in EF Go Ahead Tours’ Africa portfolio this year and features a sustainability-forward itinerary. The company launched its 12-day Ghana Adventure: Accra to Cape Coast itinerary in March and has more departures available later this year in October and November.
The tour focuses on the culture, arts, history and adventure opportunities in the West African nation for groups of 12 to 22 travelers. Highlights of the itinerary include a visit to cacao farm, a canopy treetop excursion at Kakum National Park, plus a visit to Trashy Bags Africa, a local cooperative of women who make eco-friendly upcycled bags and other items out of plastic waste.
