Hilton's first Tempo hotel to open in New York next year: Travel Weekly

The first hotel for the new Tempo by Hilton lifestyle brand will be in New York’s Times Square. 

The limited-service brand, designed to play above Hilton Garden Inn in pricing, was introduced prior to the pandemic in 2020.

Expected to open next year, the Tempo by Hilton Times Square will occupy part of TSX Broadway, a 46-story high-rise located at 1568 Broadway. The building will also be home to experiential retail and entertainment venues, including Times Square’s 109-year-old Palace Theater, which has been lifted above street level using hydraulic jacks and incorporated into the project.

The hotel will span 36 floors of the building. A lobby with communal workspaces will be on the 11th floor. Other common areas will include a fitness center and “hydration station,” a restaurant, a bar and lounge serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and an outdoor dining terrace.

Guests will be able to opt for Tempo by Hilton Wellness guestrooms, which will come outfitted with an in-room Peloton bike and wellness devices from Therabody, which is best known for its Theragun massage gun. 

Tempo is Hilton’s third lifestyle brand and its 18th brand overall.
