Hyatt CEO to assume leadership of Apple Leisure Group: Travel Weekly
Apple Leisure Group president and CEO Alejandro Reynal will leave the company at the end of September, and Hyatt CEO Mark Hoplamazian will assume leadership of ALG.
In a news release, Hyatt said Reynal chose to pursue opportunities outside of Apple Leisure Group, which was acquired by Hyatt last November.
Reynal has led Apple Leisure Group for the past three years; he succeeded longtime CEO Alex Zozaya in 2019.
In a statement, Hoplamazian said, “I am filled with deep gratitude and respect for Alejandro’s leadership throughout the acquisition and our strong first year as one company. With expertise and passion, Alejandro has led the ALG team to a position of strength and ensured ALG’s business became a thriving part of Hyatt.”
Reynal said he was “immensely proud of what we have built with the ALG leadership team and our colleagues around the world. We have moved through the toughest time in our industry and come out of it stronger than ever.”
To support Hoplamazian after Reynal’s departure, ALG Vacations group president Ray Snisky will take on additional responsibilities, Hyatt said.
