Marriott teams with family-focused company on new kids' program: Travel Weekly

Marriott International’s all-inclusive arm has partnered with family-focused experiential retailer Camp to launch a kids’ program at its Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa in Costa Rica.

Running from July 6 to 10, the all-inclusive, five-night package includes a five-day kids’ club itinerary featuring activities curated by Camp. Kids’ club offerings will include field day activities, sing-a-longs, dance parties, morning yoga classes and educational sessions that offer children the opportunity to learn more about nature and Costa Rica, among other programming.

Parents will also have access to date night after-hours services provided by Camp, with counselors available for evening childcare at the kids’ club.

Other package highlights include a voucher good at Camp’s online store, which features a selection of toys, books, clothing and other products; a collectible travel guide booklet; and access to sports activities like swimming, tennis and golf.

The Camp program at the Westin Reserva Conchal is designed for children ages 4 to 12.

In addition to taking over a week of kids’ club programming at the Westin Reserva Conchal, Camp will be rolling out collectible travel guides across other select All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy properties. The educational guides will showcase each destination’s wildlife, cultural touchpoints and cuisine, in addition to other topics.

According to a Marriott International spokesperson, Marriott is taking a “test and learn” approach to the Camp package, evaluating whether to forge a “deeper relationship tied to kids’ club and kids’ programming at all-inclusive resorts” based on the program’s success at the Westin Reserva Conchal.

Camp, which launched in 2018, specializes in offering what it calls a “shop/play hybrid experience,” operating nine retail locations across New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Texas, California and Connecticut.
