Sandals launches online training program for travel advisors

Unique Vacations, the sales and marketing arm for Sandals and Beaches resorts, has launched an online training program for travel advisors, the Sandals Training Program.

Advisors who successfully complete it will be named Certified Sandals Specialists.

This marks the first time the course is available online. It was originally created as an in-person training series more than 30 years ago.

The online program is self-paced and will be updated with the latest information about resorts, room categories and programs at Sandals and Beaches. It has 21 lessons contained in four chapters, covering things like group experiences, resorts and destination weddings.

Certified Sandals Specialists can collaborate with the company’s business development managers and attain rewards that can be used for advertising. They have the ability to earn bonus payouts and commissions.

“We’ve always believed wholeheartedly and invested heavily in advisor education to help these most dedicated partners distinguish themselves in their important line of work and grow their business,” Unique Vacations executive vice president of sales and industry relations Gary Sadler said. “In taking this program online, we’re opening the doors to travel advisors from every corner of the globe, creating limitless opportunities for both the advisor and the Sandals and Beaches guest.”
