{"id":82665,"date":"2021-10-11T19:20:30","date_gmt":"2021-10-11T19:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mytravelleader.com\/?p=82665"},"modified":"2021-10-11T19:20:30","modified_gmt":"2021-10-11T19:20:30","slug":"singapore-dropping-quarantine-rule-for-vaccinated-u-s-travelers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mytravelleader.com\/destinations\/asia\/singapore-dropping-quarantine-rule-for-vaccinated-u-s-travelers\/","title":{"rendered":"Singapore dropping quarantine rule for vaccinated U.S. travelers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Singapore on Oct. 19 will begin allowing vaccinated U.S. residents to enter the country without quarantining.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The eased restrictions are coming through Singapore&#8217;s Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) program, which will end the 14-day quarantine requirement for vaccinated passengers arriving on designated VTL flights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>U.S. residents, however, still will have to get a Covid-19 PCR test within 48 hours of their flight&#8217;s departure and also upon arrival at Singapore&#8217;s Changi Airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>Related: Singapore clears Boeing 737 Max for flying<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Singapore Airlines has designated its daily services from New York JFK, Los Angeles and San Francisco as VTL flights, plus twice-weekly seasonal service from Seattle that stops in Vancouver (Dec. 3 though Feb. 22).<\/p>\n<p>The airline actually will operate the Seattle-Vancouver-Singapore service four times per week but only flights departing on Tuesdays and Saturdays will be VTL flights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Singapore Airlines has not designated the one-stop services that resume next month to Singapore from JFK via Frankfurt and to Singapore from San Francisco via Hong Kong as VTL flights.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Travelers can use any available flight out of Singapore.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Singapore Airlines is the only carrier currently serving the U.S. from Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.travelweekly.com\/Asia-Travel\/Singapore-dropping-quarantine-requirement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Singapore on Oct. 19 will begin allowing vaccinated U.S. residents to enter the country without quarantining.\u00a0 The eased restrictions are<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":82664,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[9],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.7 -
