Frontier Airlines has ordered 91 additional Airbus A321neo planes, a move that CEO Barry Biffle says will enable the discount carrier to triple in size by 2029.

The order augments the Denver-based carrier’s existing 143-plane order book of aircraft in the Airbus A320 family. The combined 234 aircraft are slated for delivery between 2022 and 2029. Accounting for retirements, Frontier expects a total fleet of 272 by the end of 2029, up from the 112 it is flying today.
