Guests of the M Social Times Square New York can get a little closer to the Olympic experience with the hotel’s new outdoor curling rink.<\/p>\n
The rink is located by the Beast & Butterflies rooftop bar and lounge, a 7,500-square-foot wraparound terrace that opened in summer 2021.<\/p>\n
Reservations for the curling rink are available in 45-minute increments for $30 per person. Registered guests who book time on the rink receive a complimentary apple cider cocktail.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, the U.S. men’s curling team won gold, the first time a U.S. team had topped the podium in curling. In the last decade, the number of active curlers in the country has grown from 16,000 to approximately 25,000, according to USA Curling.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The curling rink is inside a weatherized tent and is open from noon to 10 p.m. daily.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 480-room M Social Times Square at 226 West 52nd Street in Times Square is the first U.S. property from M Social, a brand from London-based Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.<\/p>\n
