{"id":86523,"date":"2022-06-20T18:53:11","date_gmt":"2022-06-20T18:53:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mytravelleader.com\/?p=86523"},"modified":"2022-06-20T18:53:11","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T18:53:11","slug":"oman-air-will-join-the-oneworld-alliance-travel-weekly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mytravelleader.com\/transport\/oman-air-will-join-the-oneworld-alliance-travel-weekly\/","title":{"rendered":"Oman Air will join the Oneworld alliance: Travel Weekly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DOHA, Qatar &#8212; Oman Air will be the next member of the Oneworld alliance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The carrier will also be the third Oneworld member in the Middle East, joining Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oman Air is expected to formally join the alliance in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is through these partnerships that we will continue to grow and benefit our members,&#8221; Oneworld CEO Rob Gurney said during a Monday signing ceremony during the IATA Annual General Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Oman Air CEO Eng Abdulaziz Al Raisi joined Gurney at the ceremony. He said that Oman has set a goal of drawing 11 million annual tourists by 2030.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think joining the Oneworld alliance will help us bring more people to Oman,&#8221; he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oman Air serves 41 destinations with a fleet containing Boeing 737s, Boeing 787s and Airbus A330s.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Oneworld currently has 13 members.
