Icelandic discount carrier Play will introduce daily service between Washington Dulles and Reykjavik on April 26.\u00a0<\/p>\n
From Reykjavik, Play will offer connecting service to 21 European destinations next spring.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dulles will be Play’s fourth U.S. market and will augment existing service to nearby Baltimore\/Washington Airport. In addition, Play flies to Boston and to Stewart Airport, which is located approximately 60 miles north of New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Play previously said it would introduce Orlando service on Oct. 1, but that route has been scrapped.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Play launched U.S. service in April. Operations have been successful, according to the carrier, with 110,000 passengers flown. The carrier began operations with Europe service in June 2021.<\/p>\n
