The city of Bursa in northwest Turkey is home to a 44,000-seat arena in the shape of a giant crocodile.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Dwarfing the tower blocks surrounding it, the green-hued stadium features an entranceway that allows sports fans to walk into the reptile’s mouth, with its body curving around the pitch.<\/p>\n

On match days, the teeth and eyes of the crocodile light up for added effect.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The arena, called\u00a0Timsah Park, which translates to ‘Crocodile Park’ in English, opened in December 2015 after a four-year build project that cost in the region of \u00a38million ($8.5million).\u00a0<\/p>\n
The design was apparently inspired by the stadium’s home team, Bursaspor, as the club is nicknamed the ‘green crocodiles’.<\/p>\n
According to the YouTube channel\u00a0Gran Turism Football Stadium, Timsah Park also features\u00a0underground parking for more than 640 cars,\u00a035 catering points and 789 toilets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For those wishing to visit Timsah Park, it is located\u00a0about five kilometres from the\u00a0<\/span>city centre, in the north-western region of the city.<\/p>\n
