Frontier Airlines unveiled its first Airbus A321neo on Tuesday at an event in Tampa. It is the first of 158 A321neo aircraft that Frontier is slated to receive by 2029.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Featuring a dense configuration of 240 seats with no first-class cabin, Frontier is touting the aircraft for its fuel efficiency, which it said will amount to 120 miles per gallon, per seat.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In comparison, American Airlines’ A321neo planes have 20 first-class seats and 176 in the main cabin.<\/p>\n
Frontier CEO Barry Biffle called the A321neo “the most fuel-efficient aircraft in operation among major U.S. airlines.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
