Chateau Louise de La Valliere, a new five-star hotel in France’s Loire Valley, opened this fall as part of the Relais & Chateaux collection.<\/p>\n
Located near Tours and Amboise, the 16th-century chateau has been transformed into a boutique hotel with 20 rooms and suites, a fine dining restaurant and a spa.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The restoration of the chateau was carried out by interior designer Jacques Garcia, and the decor includes period furnishings, paintings, tapestries and objets d’art.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The L’Amphitryon restaurant, named after a Moliere comedy, offers a lavish, multicourse tasting menu in a setting inspired by the pageantry of the 17th and 18th centuries and is overseen by chef Maxime Lesobre.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The La Rosee spa is located on the edge of the woods and comprises five dedicated treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi, a sensory shower and a halotherapy space.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 47-acre park is home to two-century-old trees, a Fig Conservatory and a park planted with roses.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The staff wears period dress and recreates the historical era’s rituals and customs.<\/p>\n
