The Viva Wyndham V Heavens in Puerto Plata’s Playa Dorada complex in the Dominican Republic, has changed from an adults-only, all-inclusive resort to one that welcomes guests of all ages.<\/p>\n
“After seven years, and given the feedback we’ve received from guests hoping for a more all-inclusive experience, we decided it was time for a change,” said Amanda Santana, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Viva Wyndham Resorts.<\/p>\n
The property is now offering All Together Suites, designed for families with up to five members. It’s also highlighting its family-dining options, a new Kid’s Club and family-oriented entertainment.<\/p>\n
The five All Together Suites are located on the ground floor and each have one king-size bed, two twins and a sofa bed.\u00a0 The new Kid’s Club offers daily, scheduled activities such as beach volleyball, sandcastle building, face painting, pool games, windsurfing and tennis. All activities are divided into age-appropriate groups for kids age 4 to 12 and are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
In conjunction with the all-ages change, the resort has a Kids Stay Free promotion that applies to children age 12 and younger (maximum two kids per room). Bookings must be made by June 30 for travel by Oct. 31.<\/p>\n
Family dining is available at the buffet restaurant and three a la carte restaurants.<\/p>\n
The 190-room resort is part of the Viva Wyndham Resorts collection of all-inclusive properties. There also locations in Mexico and Bahamas.<\/p>\n
