Although cruise holidays are usually trouble free for passengers, unfortunately this isn\u2019t always the case.<\/p>\n
Videos of cruise passengers involved in mass brawls have gone viral and passengers on one of the world\u2019s biggest cruise lines, Carnival, have been warned against bringing illegal drugs onboard.<\/p>\n
Yasmin Pekel, cruise expert and CEO of Blue Cruise, has shared how British tourists can avoid getting in trouble on a cruise.<\/p>\n
She told Express.co.uk: \u201cThe laws that apply onshore also apply when you\u2019re cruising. This means stealing onboard is not only inappropriate but also illegal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is CCTV all over cruise ships, alongside security, and if you are caught you could be placed in the \u2018brig\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n Yasmin added: \u201cAssaulting another guest or a member of staff on a cruise ship will not only land you in trouble but could also lead to being sent to prison, alongside a criminal record.<\/p>\n \u201cCruise lines usually have a zero-tolerance policy towards violence, so if you think a conversation may escalate, remove yourself from the situation and speak with a suitable staff member as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n Fighting onboard could see guests removed from the ship and handed over to the local authorities.<\/p>\n \u200c<\/p>\n If another guest does something irritating such as pushing in the buffet queue or hogging a pool lounger, it\u2019s best to contact the crew.<\/p>\n The crew will be able to sort out the situation without it escalating into violence between passengers.<\/p>\n If a fight does break out, security will be called immediately and passengers could receive a lifelong ban from the cruise line.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/cdn.images.express.co.uk\/img\/dynamic\/135\/590x\/secondary\/TRAVEL-Cruise-CCTV-4828460.jpg?r=1687959100194\")
