‌Carnival Cruise Line has explained its rules on magnets after some guests tried a unique setup in their room.

Cruise ship walls are often magnets so many passengers bring the items onboard to create extra hanging space.

However, a photo shared by guests online, shows passengers using a magnet in an ingenious way.

In the photo, guests staying in an interior Carnival cabin, have set up a movie theatre using a magnet mounted projector on the ceiling, reports Cruise Hive.

John Heald, Carnival Cruise Line’s brand ambassadors, commented and said this use of magnets wasn’t allowed onboard.

Ship moves, something falls on head of the guest or cabin attendant plus the fire safety issues.”

Items aren’t allowed to be hung from the cabin ceiling as they could be hazardous, even if they’re secured by magnets.

The projector is also right next to the cabin’s smoke detector which could be set off if the projector emitted too much heat.

Don’t miss… We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you.
