As prices soar in the UK and Europe, it\u2019s become increasingly tricky to keep costs down on holiday.<\/p>\n
Casey Major-Bunce, blogger at @majormumhacks, shared her top tips to save money on a family holiday with\u00a0Express.co.uk.<\/p>\n
Casey said: \u201cThis is a massive one. Before you go to your holiday destination, check if you can drink the water.<\/p>\n
\u201cI see so many people walking around on holiday with gallons of shop-bought water, and I always wonder why. Places like Italy, Spain, France and Portugal all have safe drinking water.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tap water is safe to drink in many top European holiday destinations including Germany and mainland Greece.<\/p>\n

Tap water should be avoided on Greek islands.<\/p>\n Casey added: \u201cWhen we go abroad, we always take small squeezy concentrated juice from Robinsons or Lidl has one.<\/p>\n \u201cIt saves so much money on buying the kids juice all day. More info<\/p>\n Small squeezy bottles are available for around \u00a31.50 and fit within hand luggage liquid limits at 60ml.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cIf you can fit extra stuff in your luggage, then pop to places like Poundland and Home Bargains and grab yourself some snorkelers, inflatables and even a bucket and spade.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can save so much doing this as the kids will want this stuff and it\u2019s so expensive when you\u2019re abroad, almost three times the amount.\u201d<\/p>\n A deflated inflatable should easily fit within luggage and could save Britons a small fortune entertaining their kids on holiday.<\/p>\n Casey added: \u201cLook up excursions before you go and book direct from local companies.
