Margaritaville at Sea's first cruise postponed: Travel Weekly
Supply-chain disruptions have claimed another victim, this time delaying Margaritaville at Sea’s first cruise.
The 1,680-passenger Margaritaville Paradise was scheduled to debut on April 30 with two-day cruises from Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island. The first passenger sailing is now scheduled for May 14.
“Due to global shipping delays and in an effort to ensure the very best onboard experience, we have made the decision to postpone our first passenger sailing until May 14. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes our guests, who we know are anxiously anticipating the opportunity to set sail with us to the Bahamas,” said Oneil Khosa, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea.
Affected passengers have been offered a chance to rebook with a complimentary cabin and have their payments for the original booking refunded in the form of onboard credit, according to USA Today. Customers also have the option to cancel without rebooking for a full refund.
The new cruise line is a rebranding of the former Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line.
