Silversea ship to spend all of summer 2026 in French Polynesia
Silversea Cruises will spend the entire 2026 summer season in French Polynesia, saying that demand for cruises in the South Pacific region is high.
The 392-passenger Silver Whisper will sail the French Polynesia cruises, spending multiple nights in destinations during seven- and 14-day sailings.
Between April and September, the Silver Whisper will embark on 17 voyages from Papeete, Tahiti. Silversea has opened a pre-sale for all 17.
The seven-day cruises of the Society Islands will stop in Moorea, Raiatea on an overnight call, Huahine and Bora Bora overnight. Three late departures maximize guests’ time in Papeete, Moorea, and Huahine, Silversea said.
The 14-day voyage visits the Society, Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands. Guests will explore Moorea, Raiatea on an overnight call, Fakarava, Nuku Hiva, Fatu Hiva, Atuona, Tahuata, Rangiroa and Bora Bora before returning to Papeete.
Guests will have the chance to relax on a private island on both itineraries.
Additionally, a 21-day Easter Island sailing — departing Valparaiso, Chile, on March 16 — and two combination voyages broaden the regional offering.
Silversea said a rapid increase in capacity this decade has opened opportunities for deeper explorations into regions like French Polynesia. Since 2021, the Silver Moon, Silver Origin, Silver Endeavour, Silver Dawn and Silver Nova have joined the fleet. The Silver Ray is due to enter service next June.
