Virgin Voyages fortifies North America sales team: Travel Weekly

Virgin Voyages is beefing up its North American sales and support teams, growing its support team by 150% and increasing the number of sales managers in the field by 55%.

The expansion announcement came just days after the line said it received $550 million in new funding from BlackRock and others.

Virgin has promoted Atlanta-based Kristy Giragosian to senior manager of national accounts and three senior sales managers: Los Angeles-based Lindsey Wagner will cover the central and western U.S., Washington, D.C.-based Rosalynn Domdom will cover the eastern U.S., and Miami-based Julia Glick will cover the southern U.S.
Also, Virgin Voyages says it will appoint a sales manager for Canada. And, Virgin has partnered with travel advisors in Puerto Rico.

With a 55% bump of sales managers in the field, the line will double its team in South Florida and add reps for the Carolinas and Tennessee, to be based in Charlotte, N.C. Other new reps will be based in Newark or Philadelphia to cover eastern Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey and Ohio.

The 150% growth in the support team, to be based in Plantation, Fla., will be assigned to help agents with securing commissions, registering them for its Seacademy educational sales platform, and creating logins and signups for FirstMates.com.

Virgin is sailing two ships — the Scarlet Lady and the Valiant Lady. A third ship, Resilient Lady, is expected to debut in May from Athens and a fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, is expected to set sail for the first time at the end of 2023.
